The Core Programme is an Entry Level 3 qualification accredited by OCR which explores the running of Middlesbrough Football Club as a business.
Students are asked to explore different aspects that affect MFC including staffing, advertising, complaints and ticketing systems. Core Programme allows students to grasp this with a hands on approach using a concept of a successful business in the heart of the Teesside community. This course has proven to be a massive success with students, who have enjoyed focusing on the club.
At the end of each qualification students are invited to a Celebration Event in one of the executive rooms at the Riverside Stadium to focus on their massive achievements and recognise their efforts throughout the 10 week course. At the event students receive a certificate from a “special guest” to congratulate them on their achievements.
