Welcome to Schools Programme

Middlesbrough Football Club in the Community Schools programme prides itself on bringing quality and professional provision to schools throughout the Tees Valley area.

The vibrant development programme, although extensive is split into three key areas of provision.

Health

Health

Comprehensive programmes have been developed through external funding sources including Middlesbrough PCT and the Football Foundation.

A dedicated team of Project Workers teach important health related messages using the medium of football to encourage awareness and key learning objectives. Health programmes are linked to the national curriculum areas of Science, PSHE and Physical Education.

MFCiC delivers health related messages to over 5000 children throughout the Tees Valley every year.

Education

Education

Middlesbrough Football Club in the Community offers comprehensive educational packages to suit the needs and requirements of individual schools.

Programmes are either delivered as part of a PPA package or to provide teacher support.  Session plans are available to cover most parts of the national curriculum and can be tailor made to suit the school.

All MFCiC staff have received training to support areas of delivery including Invasion games, Gymnastics, Athletics, Dance and striking and fielding.

Football

Football

Various football packages are available to schools throughout the year for all primary ages and abilities. Curriculum, lunch time and after school coaching is available.

To ensure high quality and child safety, all delivery staff hold a FA coaching certificate and have been CRB checked as a minimum coaching requirement.

Activities also include regular tournaments and leagues for both boys and girls held at our Community Centre at Eston.
