Management Challenge 2007
Stan Johnston and Maverick Lift the Management Challenge Trophy
Friday 30th of November saw crowds pack into the Directors Guest Lounge, Riverside Stadium to witness Management Challenge grand final and Mavrick snatching the trophy from the other 3 competing schools in order to crown Stan Johnston as the new Boro Boss.
Agencies were faced with having to present their candidate and persuading the panel of judges, Claire MacGarvey (football first assistant manager), Steve Agnew (MFC Reserve Team Coach) and Anthony Dryden (Barclay's Bank) that their boss was the best for the job.
Furthermore 3 representatives from each agency were faced with a selection of questions from our judges. Questions were designed to catch the panel out, trying to make each sports agency stumble at the last hurdle. All representatives coped immensely well with the pressure.
And so for the verdict....Judges deliberated in the board room, an undecided panel finally decided to take the trophy away from Kings Academy and hand it over to a delighted Macmillan Academy represented through the Maverick Sports Agency.
Tutor Rachael Newton quotes, "The success of this years management challenge would have been achieved if it had not been for the hard work and dedication of the students. The time and effort that they have put into this years challenge was shown through the excellent presentations on the night, next years agencies will have a tough set of acts to follow"
The Enterprise Academy is extremely proud of all the students who took part in this years Management Challenge, their work and efforts have been of an extremely high standard.
On behalf of the Enterprise Academy we would like to thank all participants, supporters and judges for dedicating their time to this highly successful challenge which is striving from strength to strength.
