Boro’s got talent!
11 year old Yazdan Qafouri, from Roseberry Primary School in Great Ayton, was the clear winner of last weeks Boro’s Got Talent competition held at the Riverside Stadium.
This is the second year running MFCiC’s Enterprise Academy has hosted this event, which saw Primary School pupils from across the Tees Valley taking part in the Britains got Talent style competition.
Boro stars Rhys Williams, Andrew Taylor and Chris Riggott took on the roles of the judges as pupils displayed a wonderful range of talents. A variety of acts, representing St Peter’s in Brotton, Roseberry Primary School in Great Ayton, and Middlesbrough Schools Chandlers Ridge, St Gerard’s, Green Lane, and Rosewood, included singers, dancers, recorder players and even hula hoopers!
The judges clearly enjoyed the entertainment and were impressed by the level of talent. Australian midfielder Rhys Williams commented ” They’d all put a lot of work into their acts, – well done to all involved”
Winner Yazdan gave a fantastic performance, and wowed the judges and the 100 strong audience with his rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Ben”. Yazdan will also be appearing on TV’s Britains Got Talent later this year, so be sure to look out for him!
